Family, thank you so much for supporting the Free Movement Festival. We are finally in a place to get things moving again, in a different format, so that we can get together multiple times a year, with shorter, more sustainable gatherings...

The Southern California and Global Movement Communities are realizing that the walls between movement styles are disappearing day by day. This is not a dilution of the roots, but an appreciation of the common ground we have. An appreciation of the things that we can teach to and learn from each other.
This fall we are going back to basics!!! We ar3e concentrating on our roots at the intersections of Capoeira and Afrobrazilian culture and House Dance Culture!!!
We will train House Dance, with up and coming OC and LA teacher Homare Yasuda. We will then bridge into AfroBrazilian Dance with the renound Professora Vika Hernandez from San Diego. We will train Newstyle Hustle with Jerald Galang and members of the community who brought this style to Southern California. We will learn Tricking/Aerial Acrobatics for Martial Artists and Dancers with Brian Huang, one of the innovators in the community here in SoCal!!! And of course we will have Capoeira with teachers such as Mestre Amen Santo, the Pioneer of the art in Southern California!!!
Capoeira Batuque Santa Ana, Loftoeira, The Furies LA, Second Sun, and our partners are grateful to be able to take this opportunity to bring the various movement communities together to celebrate and learn from one another.
